I am expanding my fine arts exposure - I am learning about impressionism as I sit here. I had no idea about the different techniques they used and how they were considered radical because they painted outside and not indoors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impressionism

Despite the people pictures that seem to dominate the genre, I have to say I still love the natural aspect shown in each. I have included some of Renoir and Monet pictures. I recognize that these are classic pictures, but upon seeing them for the first time, they are still striking.

I love the pictures. I have a whole set of books on all the famous artists of the past and all their paintings. I hope to use them while teaching my lessons on art.

Yeah, this is neat, I particularly like the hay stack one there Linda (monet). Your comment about you creating "beauties" is pertinent to blog discussion ... “it” is a creative process, and you should be very proud of your kids... they genuinely (that being the key word) picked the good qualities from their mother – inside and out. Your blog site is peaceful and relaxing to read, or as Andrew Kitchenham would say, “its easing for the reader” because of your colour scheme. I know you love green too. You are creative in the very fact you are very good with technology… forever willing to help any/everyone with their websites and videos in the computer lab ahead of your own. Thanks Linda, your blog site is lovely and reflects you. Hope the night shift isn’t too late ~ ~
